Camping is great for family bonding. Try a few days in the woods without any electronics for a time that the family learns to communicate and gets to know each other once again.

There is a lot of work to be done to make your camping trip an enjoyable experience. If you do not have a camp stove, you may have to cook over a campfire. The results may be quite different than the microwave stuff you cook at home. Maybe you will discover you really like the taste of food that is cooked over a real fire. When you finish, you will be reminded that there is no dishwasher at your campsite, so you will have to wash all dishes that are not disposable by hand.

The good news is that without electronics, you will have lots of time that you can use for nature walks or to go to see the ranger’s nightly shows. Take time to view all the wildlife as well as flowers that bloom along the path. Be sure that you breathe in all the fresh air you can.

The evenings, after the dinner dishes have been cleaned is a perfect time for playing your favorite games or for long talks.

If this sounds like a great time for you, then stop reading this article right now and go make your campsite reservations before they are all gone. Do not waste any more time.

If the above described camping trip sounds like less than ideal for you, here is some good news. Many campgrounds are now equipped with wifi. By paying a few dollars more per night you can have electrical hook ups. This will give you power to keep the laptop and hand held video games charged. Some sites even have cable hookups for your television viewing. Camping does not have to be boring any longer.

Please keep the volume down, we do not want the first group of campers to have their ideal camping trip ruined.
