When it comes to camping equipment you will want to get the basics down. If you find that your camping holidays don’t always go to plan then it could be down to your camping equipment.

No one likes to go on a camping holiday only to find that they have forgotten to bring something that they really need. You can easily remedy this problem by using simple checklist to make sure you have the right camping equipment and outdoor clothing for your holiday or expedition.

At the other end of the scale is people that just bring everything regardless of if they need it or not. Trying to get the right amount of equipment without bring too much or too little can be a difficult skill to master and one which you will need to pickup if you plan on hiking and need to get everything into one of your rucksacks.

It all depends on what you need to take as well, of course nobody can do without a good quality tent but there are other things that may be important for you to bring with you. If you plan on taking a car with you then of course there will be room to bring some more heavy weight items like a stove.

I think it is always a good idea to pack light because this allow you more flexibility when it comes to choosing your daily activities. The art to light travel is just that; an art, so you will need some practise to master it.

If you’re travelling as a family or part of a group then you can afford to bring some larger items as long as you make sure you distribute these between all members so that no one person is carrying too much.

As started at the very start of this article the way to get the most out of your camping holiday is the correct planning and preparation of the equipment you will need.
