On your next trip to the camping supply shop don’t forget to put a fire blanket on your shopping list. While making a list you should try and think and write down all the things you need on your next camping trip. Then you should take a look around and see if any of the things you wrote on your camping trip list are already in your possession. The things that you don’t have should also go on the list you take with you to the supply store, and a fire blanket will be on that list. If it isn’t and you don’t have a fire blanket you should now start questioning why it is not on the “to buy” list for your next trip.

First of all, if you are planning a camping trip and you don’t have any camping supplies, don’t just go to the store and buy everything that it looks like they have to offer you. You want to be sure that you are researching the different types of supplies and figuring out what you need in each situation. There are many different kinds of camping supplies, so you want to be sure that you have some information on the location where you are going to be camping, and on what camping supplies you will need in that location. The last question you ask yourself should be “Will there be situation of open fire during the trip”. If that question is answered yes then you should really consider taking a fire blanket with you in your supplies.

Don’t Buy Too Much But do buy that blanket

When you are buying camping supplies for the first time it might be tempting to buy everything that they offer. Remember that camping supplies are only going to be good for you if you will use them. That means that you want to be sure you are looking carefully so that you can know what you need and what you might not need. It might not be that you need each of the camping supplies that are offered to you. Again, knowing where you are going and what you will be doing will help you find camping supplies. And also think what of you already have, an example would be, if you bought a fire blanket for the last camping trip then you don’t need to buy one if that was never used.

When the trip you are going to take involves cooking on an open fire then you should have a fire blanket with you and close by all the time the fire is active. Check your supplies to see if one is there, if not, drop anything your doing and go to your camping supply store. A fire blanket can save lives.

It’s a good feeling knowing that you have a fire blanket ready if the situation calls for one. Better yet, it’s a good feeling coming back from the camping trip and didn’t have to use the fire blanket.
